PwC called on The Social Collective to help spread some festive cheer to a well deserving organisation. Cotlands was chosen to be the recipient of the donations which included festive gift box for each graduating child filled with stationery and toiletries as well as a hearty meal. 350 children were reached through this festive initiative.
Shireen from Cotlands said "
Somehow Thank You does not adequately express our deep gratitude to PWC for ensuring that the all Cotlands children in Gauteng had a wonderful year end party. Not only did they have lunch which included a burger which is a rare treat for so many of the children, they had a party pack and every single child received a gift."

The Social Collective teamed up with Rotary to facilitate the annual Health days particularly covering 17 hard to reach sites in Gauteng and the launch site in Tulamahashe in Bushbuckridge. Over the 3 days, The Social collective team recorded data on nearly 4000 community members including children who received much needed health service from different health practitioners. The data collection team comprised of unemployed youth sourced from the local community availing them an opportunity to learn transferable skills hence improving their employability status. The raw data was then recorded electronically enabling the national team to compile a report on all health sites in each province. This data will be vital for the Health Department as it highlights prevailing health issues for different age groups which will allow them to plan effectively for each province. The Social looks forward to working further with Rotary Family Health Days in upcoming initiatives.
“Instead of sitting at home and being discouraged I decided to volunteer with organisations near my home assisting them with administration work and reading programs for the children.” Lebo, volunteered 24 hours
The Volunteer experience created by The Social Collective helped me a lot. It was great fun and inspirational experience which I’ve learned a lot from. It helped me acquire a scholarship (after) I added the experience to my CV
